Seven Angels in the Schools

Seven Angels in the Schools

Seven Angels in the Schools is the latest program in our long history of bringing the fun of acting to the Waterbury Public Schools! We help kids gain self-confidence and self-esteem while they discover the world of theatre. With the generous support of local philanthropic institutions, we bring our acting classes to the Waterbury Public schools as a ten-week afterschool program. The kids play theatre games, act in skits, scenes and improvisations and, on the final day, present what they have been working on to family and friends. They begin by having fun playing with their classmates and by the end of the class they are experiencing the thrill and satisfaction that comes from standing in front of a group of people enjoying the performance.

This program has been supported by The Connecticut Community Foundation, The Waterbury Arts & Tourism Commission, The Jewish Federation of Western Connecticut, The Ellis A. Gimbel Trust, The 21st Century Afterschool Program, The American Savings Foundation, and The George A. and Grace L. Long Foundation.
